Sapphire stones have always been celebrated for their beauty and hardness. Just like the jewel, this laminate reflects strength of character, purity and is genuine in its true-to-nature feel. This jewel amongst laminate flooring has an exclusive V-groove, milled in a random way giving it a natural look, resembling real wood with its typical particularities. The handscraped finish raises this Sapphire laminate floor to a new dimension. A real jewel with a fantastic look-and-feel effect.

Protect your investment.

To protect your laminate fl oor, we recommend the following precautions:

• Avoid contact with dirt, sand, grit and substances such as oil or asphalt by placing carpets and vinyl-back doormats at the front- and

backdoor;

• Use fl oor protectors and furniture legs/wheels with a large ground surface to limit the impact of heavy objects;

• Maintain a relative indoor air humidity of between 40 and 60% all year round, in order to limit natural expansion and contraction of the

wood;

• Avoid cutting and grooving in your fl ooring by sharp objects. If you have chairs with wheels, make sure they are made of soft rubber;

• The surface of your new laminate fl ooring is particularly durable and wear resistant, so that it requires no additional treatment. No need

for sanding, varnishing, polishing or waxing, meaning that the typical and intrinsic properties of your laminate fl ooring are retained;

• Balterio laminate fl oors have a hard, closed surface, so that you needn’t always clean it with a damp mop. Every once in a while will do.

This way, you avoid lasting damage to your fl oor.

How should you clean your fl oor?

What to do in case of ...

Stains from normal use, scuff marks from shoes, pencil marks and dirt stains are all easily removed without trace.

Cause > Solution

• Rubber marks, scrapes or scuffs from shoe heels, dirt from the street, pencil or crayon marks,...: use a dust cloth.

• Fruit, berries, milk, beer, wine, tea, soft drinks,...: wipe off immediately with an absorbent cloth - or with a damp cloth

if it has already dried in - and rub dry.

• Blood, urine: remove immediately with a damp cloth and wipe off any remaining dirt with a suitable laminate cleaner.

• Nail polish, shoe polish, varnish, ink, make-up, felt pen,...: remove with a drop of acetone on a clean cloth which you

should apply on the stain only; follow the safety instructions that come with the product used. Do not use greasy chemical

cleaners such as white spirit.

• Chocolate, fat, oil,...: remove with a suitable laminate cleaner.

Caution!

Never use a steam cleaner, as this will damage the laminate!

Stain-resistant

Sauces, spaghetti, jam, coffee etc. have often ruined a carpet or solid parquet floor. With a Balterio floor, stains need not be a disaster. Magic markers, lipstick or nail varnish can be easily removed with a drop of acetone on a clean cloth.

Formaldehyde

Because your health is our concern, all Balterio laminate floors contain 10 times less fomaldehyde than the required E1-norm and are therefor safer to install. E1-norm = <= 3,5mg/m²h / Balterio score = 0,32mg/m²h.

Slip-resistant

A slippery floor constitutes a daily danger for you and your housemates. Because our engineers are concerned with your safety, they impose high demands to Balterio laminate floors: in the area of slip resistance our floors score 45% better than the norm.

Energy saving

Balterio laminate floors are perfectly compatible with underfloor heating of the ‘water system’ type, without you having a higher energy bill in comparison with classic heating systems. Balterio laminate floors conduct the warmth, generated via your underfloor heating system, very well.

Wear-resistant

The wear-resistance is guaranteed by the wear-resistant surface together with the hard core.

Impact-resistant

The high-quality HDF (High-Density Fibre) core boards can resist sudden impacts from high heels, falling objects and the pressure marks caused by furniture legs.

Cigarette proof

A fallen burning cigarette that is for a few secondson your Balterio laminate floor won’t leave the slightest trace.

Fire class

Thanks to the high density of the Balterio HDF core plates, our product is difficult to ignite. That results in substantially increased evacuation time in the event of fire. Dimensional stability

The high quality core boards limit the effect of relative humidity on your Balterio laminate floor, in comparison with solid wood or chipboard. Any small degree of swelling of 1 mm per walking meter is dealt with by means of an expansion joint.
