Since 1998, all smooth finish Amtico residential products have been treated with a special Super-Tough Finish which makes regular polishing or dressing totally unnecessary.
An Amtico floor is extremely hardwearing but even this tough surface can be scratched and marked by sharp grit or other objects. Basic precautions will help keep your floor looking good.
CARE
Vacuum or brush your floor regularly to remove dust and grit.
Protect against scratching from furniture feet by using casters or felt pads. Use furniture cups under heavy items or appliances to prevent indentation.
Use fibre mats at outside entrances. Avoid rubber or latex backed mats as these may leave stains.
ROUTINE CLEANING
The amount of cleaning necessary will depend on your lifestyle and the colour of the floor. Most owners find that a weekly wipe-over is usually enough. For both Super-Tough Finish and Textured Surfaces simply:

Sweep or vacuum the floor

Dilute (1:30) Amtico Cleaner and apply with a damp mop or a spray.

Mop the floor, keeping it as dry as possible, to remove soiling. That’s it!
OPTIONAL DRESSING
It is no longer necessary to apply dressing to a new Amtico floor unless you prefer a semi-gloss finish rather than the intended matt finish.
Before applying the Amtico Dressing the floor must be clean and any ingrained soiling and previous dressing must be removed with Amtico Floor Dressing Remover.

Help protect your Spacia floor from scratches and damage by:

Taking care with upright vacuum cleaners

Not allowing cigarettes,matches or other hot items to touch your floor

Avoiding contact with rubber, asphalt, paints and shoe polishes

Scratching. Use entrance matting and sweep more often. Dress floor if it is badly marked.

Scuffing. Routine maintenance with Amtico Floor Cleaner or gently rub with a soft scouring pad.

Sticky Floor. Remove solids with absorbent paper then wash with diluted Amtico Floor Cleaner. If there are dull residues, mop floor again.

Staining. Blot up spillage then wash with diluted Amtico Floor Cleaner. Use a wet non-scratch scouring pad if necessary then rub with turpentine. Leave for 30 minutes and rinse with water.

Floor indentation. Protect your floor from heavy furniture with wide bearing furniture cups.

Spacia’s Super Tough Finish makes it even easier to clean and keep looking like new. Your floor can be maintained with two easy steps.
1. Frequently sweep your floor with a soft brush or vacuum
2. After reading the instructions, prepare a solution of dilute Amtico Floor Cleaner. Apply to floor with a spray bottle and mop or bucket and damp mop. Rinse the mop frequently, and if using a bucket, change the solution when it becomes dirty. The amount of cleaning depends on your lifestyle and the floor colour, but a weekly wipe over is usually enough. Use micro fibre mop heads, as they are excellent at cleaning between beveled tiles.
